My car has a problem where while driving it will suddenly malfunction, the indicators will not work, the radio turns on and off, the wipers go on etc. I recently learned that it is because of a faulty TIPM. I learned that Chrysler integrated this and received a whole lot of complaints. I am one of many with this issue. My question is, how can I replace it or get it fixed? Was there a recall that I could respond to? Is there anything Chrysler is doing about this? If not, how much might it cost to replace?

Chrysler so far has only done a recall for two models and that was for the integrated fuel pump relay. For the rest of the problem units they have done nothing. The catch with replacement is that you may need to have a dealer pull the vehicle configuration, then upload that into the replacement TIPM. I say may because many times you can install a new TIPM and hook it all up, turn the key to on and wait twenty minutes and they work. Other times the information is corrupted or the unit does not get the signal.
If you plan on replacing it yourself, do it right in the dealership lot, just in case.

But before you do that. Go over the battery connections at both ends and be sure they are clean and tight, bad/corroded/loose connections can act this way. Next check the ground connections for the same reason. Next, with the battery disconnected remove the TIPM (disconnect the battery feed the release the four clips around it and lift it up). Disconnect each of the wiring harness connectors and verify the pins are all clean and no corrosion.
If you do these steps and you still have the problem you likely have a bad TIPM.

There are a lot of places selling rebuilt units and used. The dealership will be the highest cost option. The last one I did was $400.00 for the TIPM and $125.00 to program it. Your prices will be different depending on where you get it from. Chrysler gets around $700.00 to $800.00 for them. The instruicons to replace the TIPM are below, its easy because it self initiates. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

My van has recently been having a surge issue. The lights on my dash as well as the headlights begin to flicker. After a short period of that the entire gauges cluster as well as my headlights turn off temporarily and reset as if you just put the key in the ignition. I am stuck as to whether it is the battery being old and drained or the alternator is going out. My only other idea is that the TIPM is going out.

Have the battery load tested. Also, check all the wiring connections. Alternators usually would not cause an issue like this. But you do have one of those lovely TIPM's that do cause these problems.

Need to access TIPM schematics or at least identify P.C.B. Circuit breaker responsible for affecting front blower motor operation. There does not appear to be a relay involved anywhere within the TIPM for the front blower motor only k7 for the rear blower motor. Thanks.

I attached the information you requested. The TIPM actually does not directly control the front blower motor. It powers the front blower motor "module" which is basically a resistor. Take a look at the wiring diagram and let me know what other info you need. Thanks

You do not have a TIPM, you have what is called the integrated power module. They are basically the same thing but they are different enough that we need to make the distinction.

I attached the instructions below as I suspect you are correct that this is the issue. Let us know if you need more info. Thanks
