My SUV had a sway when coasting at highway speeds to begin with not to bad. Recently it developed a thud when coasting at highway speeds over fifty five now its starting to do it at slower speeds sometimes. It only does it when coasting the noise is coming front the front left tire I can feel it also. Just curious what it could be before I take it to the shop I was thinking ball joints.

Ball joints are pretty common in most SUV's, but I have never heard of them making a thudding noise. Could be worn control arm bushings, worn strut(s), or something else like that. Maybe if you take the wheel off and get us a few good, clear, quality pictures we might be able to see something.
