THROTTLE BODY PROBLEMS

The engine bogs out with hesitation before idled to high and now to low. I do not smell fuel in the exhaust.

Check for a vacuum leak on the tbi units they love to blow the gasket beneath the unit which causes a lot of the problems you describe. You can use choke cleaner if rpm changes while spraying it around tbi you have found your leak.
