I have been following the 347 build as a tutorial to getting the pistons and etc., thrown into the block, got the motor into the engine bay and started to plug in everything from my wiring harness to the engine itself. One thing that threw me off was the distributor that was in the video (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-850303-1) does not have a notch for the TFI module. (I did not know this at the time) so I got it ordered up and set in the motor.
The big question is, will I be able to splice into the wires from the distributor (since it has three wires coming to a plug) and connect these into the 3-prong sided TFI module? If I remember correctly the three prongs are: "Hall effect ground", "Hall effect power", and "PIP signal).
Essentially what I am trying to accomplish is to relocate the TFI module. I'd basically be jumping the wires from the distributor that are connected to the ignition coil to the TFI module. Then just cut and solder in 2' of wires to extend the 6 prong OE plug to its new home.
