I'm turning this van into a dirt track car, gutting it out and just pulled the wires in the back up to remove. There's a box on the left bulkhead, just forward of the back hatch with approximately 6-8 black wires going to it of which I yanked out of the box mounted on the bulkhead. The box is held on with a metallic looking clip.
Is this the engine disable for an accident? If so, I just essentially need to disable the disabler being this thing is going to be in plenty of "accidents" during the "demo cross" and the "figure 8 trailer races".
Can someone either help with what mentioned or tell me what to expect I've done by tearing up the rear wiring please.
Much appreciated and race season starts March 7 at Perris Fair grounds, CA.
See you there!

That sounds like either a splice for multiple ground wires, or it's a diode pack for the interior lights. Typically, opening the lift gate turns on the lights in it, but not the other interior lights. Opening the sliding doors turns on some of the other lights, along with the lift gate lights, and opening a front door turns on the overhead console lights and the center lights, but not the lift gate lights. If all the lights were wired together directly, every door or lift gate switch would always turn on all the lights. The diodes, (one-way valves for electrical current flow), isolates the different light circuits from each other.
