Hello again!

Yes, they should replace the whole assembly as new. If this keeps happening with their work on your car for the same problem! Sorry about your bad luck and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
Danny.

Thanks Danny, I am thinking about bringing it to a different Buick repair shop, but it is far from me and I do not know if I should be driving the vehicle around like this.

Hello again.

I am so sorry to hear about the same problems that shop is giving you. What seems to be the problem? Are they just tired of dealing with you and it being their fault? Tell them to just fix it, and fix it right already. Again, sorry to hear about the bad luck, but all of us here at 2CarPros are always here to help.

You do not need to take it only to a dealer. I would probably find an independent shop and pay them to at least look at it and diagnose the problem. It is possible that everyone has developed tunnel vision of it being the strut that is the problem when it is something else that is the root cause.

Thanks Steve, I dropped it off to Buick this morning and waiting to hear back, but could it be that it just was not fixed right the first time? I went to a independent shop to have all the other suspension parts replaced except that strut because it was still under Buick parts warranty and I should not have to shell out more money. Well I thought third time the charm but looks like a fourth!

Let us know what they say seems strange they can figure it out. Thanks for the video pretty pronounced. It kind of sounds like the "oil can" effect which is metal flexing back and forth. It sure sounds like a strut to me. Please get back to us.

They are missing something, did they replace the top plate with the strut as well? I would have a new shop look at it.
