When I first start the car my rpms shoot up to nearly 2000 and then drop to 1500. I realize it may take a little to warm up but this also happens when I stop at lights and signs. There has been some vibrations but I'm replacing a motor mount on the drivers side, butthe rpms still stay pretty high for just idling. Im not sure what this is but i'd like to fix this issue. If u have any ideas, I would be very greatful

I suspect a bad or dirty idle air control valve, I would first try to clean it and the throttlebody. And see how it goes, sometimes it just has a buildup of carbon.

No. The engine light isn't on. For about a week it was on and that was about a month ago but it went off itself. Another guy told me an auto switch or auto valve or something might be dirty but I have no idea what that is. Any chance u guys know what it's supposed to idle around for rpms? And thank u I really appreciate your help :)

Yeah thats just what I mentioned, the idle air control valve and throttlebody is probably dirty with carbon. I sent you a link that shows you how to clean the throttlebody, the idle air control valve is part of that, so it just self explainatory
