Transmition (lockup)

SUBARU LEGACY 2.2 AT ´94. 100.000 miles
The car in direct mode at 60 miles/hr increase the engine revolutions in 300 rpm and never return to the previous regimen.
Somebody told me that is a "lockup" problem, and it is an electrical or electronical problem.
I would apreciate if anybody gives me an orientation

The e4at transmission in your car is electrnically controlled. If there is aproblem with the electronics causing a tcc (torque convertor control or cut) problem the power light on the dash will be flashing at start up. If this is the case it should be diagnosed by some one who knows subaru
