if your head gasket blows, how likely is it that more problems inside the engine are created and what problems might they be? Also how much are you looking to pay to replace the head gasket?

The heads will have to be crack tested at a minimum, also checked for twist, Subaru uses a steel head gasket and the mating surfaces must be mirror finish, no nicks, scratches, or marks at all, other wise head problems will haunt you again. As far as costs go, this will vary on who does the work Dealer or independent, genuine or non genuine parts and head work required, this is unknown untill heads are removed.
