What's the best way to lift the front end so the wheels don't rub when you hit a bump?

Good evening,

Struts do not hold the truck up, they just stabilize the suspension. In your case, you have torsion bars. You can adjust them to raise the truck. I attached a picture for you of the adjustment. You have one on each side.

After you get your height, you will need to get it aligned as the geometry will be off and has to adjust for proper steering.

That was done and I was told it was maxed out but the wheels still rub and was also told it didn't need alignment after. But I should have known better with the source I asked. So if that is actually maxed out what's my next option?

What size tires and rims are you running? None of the factory sizes should rub. From what you describe the only real option if you want to keep them would be a full suspension lift or return to stock sized tires.

Just like Steve said, what size tires are you using?

I would consider going back to factory size tires.

Went from stock I believe they where 16s to 20s. I was told they would fit no problem no changes needed. I know it was stupid to listen to that, but my wife was determined on getting them, so it was a do whatever you want it's your vehicle kind of thing and now I'm stuck throwing money in it, lol.

I understand.

Sounds like you will be doing a lift kit to make her happy.

I know how that works.
There are a few places that make good kits. Any issues with turning?

I would check over what they did to get them to fit. I have seen where "the look" took precedent over safety and they ground metal off of other parts like ball joints and tie rods to get just enough room to fit them in.

They fit right on. I put them on myself the only problem is hitting top of wheel well when you hit a bump.

As a temporary thing you might be able to add a longer bump stop to keep the suspension from traveling that far. However, the only way to make it right would be a lift kit. Cranking up the torsion bars usually also causes problems with the front axles wearing out fast as well as the ball joints because they bottom out in their sockets as the suspension drops.
