The car has previously been diagnosed as not firing due to oil leaking onto the crank sensor. How do you seal the crank sensor to stop oil entering the cable connection?

Hi,

First, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so my technical information is very limited. However, I'll try my best to help.

First, the sensor isn't something that normally is sealed after production. Therefore, you need to determine what is leaking oil above the sensor.

In most cases, the crankshaft position sensor is located near the crankshaft pulley. You could have a leak at the valve cover or oil pan. If this engine has a timing chain and not a belt, the timing chain cover could be leaking as well. So, I recommend first identifying where the leak is originating and then repair the leak.

Please let me know if you have questions or need help.

Take care,
