Power steering not working

Okay, cool.
Waiting on parts.
I lifted front of car and I can turn wheel to right without problem.
Does that help to know to diagnose?

Hi Roy,

I waited until the weather finally warmed up.
I replaced outer Tie Rods left and right.
Going to replace the Lower Control Arm/Ball Joint Assembly.
And put new rubber bushings on Tension Bar that attaches to Lower Control Arm.
Any tips to getting the darn ball joint out of clamp on steering knuckle?
Tried to spread clamp after loosening bolt and nut, and hammering lower control arm. No luck!
I am about to use angle grinder with cut off wheel on control arm.

Also, I still am not receiving verification email to post my questions.
I emailed ken@2carpros. Com a few times. He was going to have Web Guy look into this. Can you reach out to help me with email verification issue?

Hi Roy,

Are you still available?
My power steering went out again, after new power steering pump and rack.
I had added regular power steering fluid instead of ATF+4.
Which some forums and my local NAPA guy, tell me is bad and I trashed the system.
I have new power steering pump and rack and lines and hoses and reservoir.
First I want to test system with pressure tester.

I agree with the guy from NAPA. It sounds like the seals got damaged from the incorrect fluid.

Wow, thanks for all you wisdom!
I want to test pressure by connecting to rack end.
Easier then pump end. But if you say pump end, okay.
Check out these instructions from my tester.

Looks good. You will have the same result at the rack as you do at the pump. Test it at the rack.

Continuing my never ending PS BS.
Replaced PS pump and discovered replacement pump was NG
Any tips on removing 3 bolts you access thru holes in pulley?
13mm or 15mm?
Regular or deep socket?
I cannot seem to get a socket on damn bolts!
Help!

Okay, the 3 bolts are 13mm. You will need a deep socket to reach the bolts through the pulley.

I attached a picture of the pulley for you to view.

Hi Roy,
Bear with me as I am almost done.
I am selling this POS as soon as I get it running.
I hurt my back a while back so haven't worked on this recently.
Am trying to bolt inner tie rods to rack and just like last time the space block behind rubber boot of rack that bolts go through, slipped off of piston and I have to fish it out of rack boot.
Trying to use wire. Last time I cut band on boot and pushed spacer block back to center.
Pump is in and hoses are in.
This job is fun! Not!

They should be 13mm. You will need a 6 point socket to get to them through the cut-out on the pulley.

Be careful you do not drop them. Use vaseline in the socket to hold the bolt once you remove it. That way it will stay in the socket.
