My truck doesn't do anything when I turn the key, but my viper remote start works fine. I am stumped. Also, I just had a tune up, starter replace, and a new fuel pump. When I got it back, it worked fine. My repair guy turned it on and off a bunch of times, no problems. I gave it a quick ride including a stop for a soda. It started fine there, and I stopped by my mechanic to tell him it worked good. He turns it off, then on, no start! We tried my remote, started fine. We think the problem is in the steering column, but what? My mechanic is stumped. Thanks for any answers you may have. PS, we have not looked for source of the problem yet.

Hello,

This sounds like it could a problem with your vehicle's ignition switch. The Ignition Switch has a plastic arm that pushes a rod when you turn the key to push the switch, which looks like a box completing the circuits for the various systems the key controls. I have included in the diagrams down below directions for the removal and installation of your vehicle's ignition switch. Please go through these directions and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex
