My my vehicle listed above (Cherokee) had been driving just fine the evening before, next morning it had been snowing all night. So proceed to start it to warm up while the snow was cleaned off an went back inside for approximately ten to fifteen minutes, when came back out to leave it was not running. Tried to start it again an there was nothing, no power, no lights on dash not even a click to try an start. Tried to jump it thinking it maybe bad battery or alternator. Put cables on an got some dash lights an some power in the vehicle but turn the key an nothing. Tried for bout ten to twenty minutes letting them sit an charge from the idling car an still nothing. I’m at a loss being the vehicle originally started fine and was at and idle while it was being cleaned off an have had no issues or indications of anything going wrong it’s been a strong running vehicle.

Good morning,

It sounds like you have either a bad battery or the charging system is not working correctly.

You will need to test the battery after charging it to 12.4 to 12.6 volts.

Then use a voltmeter and check the voltage at the battery for 14 to 14.5 volts.

It could be a bad alternator not maintaining the battery charge.
