I'll start my vehicle and it will idle fine but as soon as I put into drive or reverse it stalls out. but if I start it and give it some gas and the RPMs up and put it into get it will go but then stall out when I applied the brakes and came to a complete stop. Why should this be happening?

Good morning,

The most common issue for this is the torque converter in the transmission. It is locked up causing it to stall in any gear. It has to be replaced.

I attached the procedure below for you for the repair.
