Hi Jennifer and thanks for using 2CarPros.
There are many things which can cause an engine to not start. However, most times it is related to one of two things, no spark to the plugs or no fuel pressure.
First, here is a link that discusses the most common issues with a crank no start condition. Take a look through it to see if anything is helpful.

Now, if the starter is not engaging and turning the engine, you could have a dead or weak battery, a bad electrical connection, or a bad starter. Here are links that discuss how to load test a battery, how to check the battery connections, and how to test a starter:

If the engine is cranking but not starting, see if it will start for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does, then the problem is fuel related. If it does not start, it is ignition spark related.
Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
Take care,
Joe
