I recently had all four brakes replaced as well as rear passenger side caliper yet the rear passenger wheel still squeaks constantly as it did before I had that work done. What could this be? My ABS light is also on but I was told it was my ABS pump and that was an expensive fix that wasn't necessary.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Is the squeak related to speed? In other words, does it speed up when the vehicle speeds up? Is it the exact same sound as before the brake work was done? Were the rotors replaced also?

Often times an ABS issue is related to a wheel speed sensor. Here is a link that explains how to check:

Let me know. Also, let me know how it was determined that the pump was bad and not a wheel speed sensor. Did they scan the computer to determine a bad pump?

If it is at all possible, record the sound you hear and upload it for me to hear. It may help me determine the cause.

Take care,
Joe

The noise doesn't change with speed it stays the same as the exact same sound as before. No the rotors weren't replaced. And yes I was told they scan the computer to find out about the ABS pump.

Welcome back:

Okay, then there is a good chance the noise isn't related to the brakes. Do you hear it on bumps, turns, or is there anything you can think of that causes it? The idea that it squeaks and isn't related to the rotation of the tire, then it must be a bushing related noise.
