Spongy brake pedal

I have recently had issues with a brake caliper. I had to change the one on the front passenger side due to the piston becoming stuck in a fully extended position. After replacing the caliper and installing new pads I bled the brakes but the pedal is still very soft and spongy and depresses completely when pressed. I am not sure what the issue is at this time. (Note I only bled the front brakes) Not sure if that has anything to do with the issue.

You will need an enhance scan tool to bleed out the ABS pump. What you can try and sometimes it works is bleed all four wheels. Starting with the right rear, then left rear and right front and ending with the left front. Road test and if it still feels a little soft, find a lonely road where there is no traffic.

Go up to about forty mph and make sure no one is behind you. Slam on the brakes to get the ABS pump pumping. Do that two or three times. Sometimes it works and sometimes you just need the scanner do actually bleed it. Let us know if this works for you.
