Good morning,
Actually, the vehicle model Is Venza not Camry. I selected Camry because I couldn't find Venza. The vehicle has slow response while accelerating and sometimes the transmission won't shift properly. Checking it with the scan tool, the code displayed is shown in the image and I also replaced the transmission fluid.

Hi,

I haven't heard from you for some time. It looks like you have another tough one. I have a question. How dirty was the transmission fluid that you removed? When the pan was off, was there a lot of debris?

There is a chance you will be replacing the valve body if the fluid was bad enough. However, I attached the diagnostics below for all three codes. Take a look through them and let me know if you have questions.

Also, the P2808 code is last below. I included the description with that one because I personally would start with those tests. I highlighted where the diagnostics start for that code. The two other codes just include the diagnostics.

Take care,

Joe

Good morning, Sir,

How will I know that the fluid is dirty?
I just know if the fluid is overheated or if it contains metal particles. You mentioned replacing the valve body if the fluid is bad enough, can't the valve body be serviced?
The test to be carried out, is it only techstream that can be used or another scanner can be used?

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by "how will you know if the fluid is dirty". If it's darker in color, smells burnt, and so on. As far as replacing the valve body, that is a possibility. Chances are you will be able to locate the issue based on the diagnostics above.

And yes, you can use any scan tool that can communicate with the control module and perform the tests.

Let me know.

Joe

Thank you very much sir for your concern.
Most times I find it difficult to follow what was written or the procedure listed because I don't have the necessary equipment. Some of them are expensive and some I cannot easily found them in Nigeria which makes diagnostic some difficult. Most times I try to improvise which might not be favorable.
The techstream is it only for Toyota and Lexus?

Hi,

No problem whatsoever. I understand.

As far as the techstream, that is for Toyota/Lexus/Scion vehicles. You must have an active professional level subscription to use Techstream software, so it isn't the most convenient or inexpensive means to work on them.

Let me know if I can help.

Take care,

Joe

Thank you very much sir,
Hmm, for a start which one do you think is better?
I was considering launch CRP 233 but it seems that it doesn't not perform active test and freeze frame data.
I want to get transmission oil gauge.
I am also thinking of focusing on Toyota and Lexus alone basically the electrical systems, but I don't know if it is a good idea.
What do you think sir?
What are the major tools needed for a start sir for proper diagnosis?

Hi,

If you plan to work on them often, I recommend getting one that provides live data (active data). That will help you in many ways. For example, it can provide fuel trims, oxygen sensor info, fuel pressures, and so on. It is really helpful.

As far as the gauges, just get ones that will read 300 PSI +. Pressure can get high.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe

I was thinking of using A/C manifold gauge and finding an adapter that can fit into the transmission, but I was told that it won't work because it was designed for air not liquid. I thought the gauges are the same, only the adaptor (the end part) was different.

Hi,

That is correct. The A/C gauges are for a gas and not liquid. I attached a pic below showing what you need. Isn't there anything online you can purchase? I'm sorry, I have no idea what you are able to get there. This is not an uncommon tool here. The pic I attached is from Amazon, but I have no idea if they will ship to you.

Where are you located again? I would be willing to get one and send it to you, but I have no idea what the cost would be to ship.

Let me know.

If you want, let me know. I will try to find out what the cost would be for shipping. Interestingly, it sounds like you don't have the common tools for diagnostics. I am very impressed that you are able to come up with alternative ways for diagnostics. But it has to take a lot longer for you.

Let me know what I can do to help. If you have any idea how something would ship there from the United States, let me know.

Hi,

That looks interesting. Hopefully, it will work for you. As far as net weight, that is how much a product weighs prior to shipping. (I think that is what you asked).

If that wasn't your question, let me know.

Hi,

I don't have access to the product's weight. It can't be much. I traditional scan tool usually isn't more than 1 pound. That can be affected by packing.
