I have a 2000 Ford exploring that has a slow engine crank. Called AAA to check out the battery and when they ran the test I was told my alternator, battery and starter are all perfect but they did need to replace the clamps. The gauge that shows the alternator level is like 1/2 inch from the L and when I start the car the needle is on the L. What could be wrong?

If your battery terminal clamps have lots or corrosion and/or not tight then that can cause weak starting.

Thats what I thought too so I called AAA since they replaced my battery. They cleaned off the corrosion and ended up replacing both of the battery clamps since one was cracked. The start up problem still continues. The check engine light was one a day or two prior to the new clamps and now has turned off. Im thinking spark plugs maybe?

Could be the battery cables themselves are filled with corrosion. They may need replacing. Let them do their checks and see what they find.
