HELP I have put  £7 of petrol in my skoda fabia vrs tdi 1.9 car then the petrol station advised me to top up with diesel ( £31) drove it home for about 10 miles and now it doesn't start. Have been advised to get my engine drained but will I have created long term damage and what would you advise?

You will need to have the tank flushed and change the fuel filter, bleed the system to flush the fuel lines, l diesel is also the lubricant for the injectors and pump, petrol in the system will break down the lubrication ability and also cause possible damage to the engine if it is run with petrol in the system, as far as long term damage goes, this is a bit hard to say, this will depend on how much fuel was added, normally you should be ok, but get the system cleaned and try it out,
