Once in awhile the signal lights will not turn on

When driving my signal lights work most of the time but every once in awhile they wont turn on. I have changed the indicator switch on the side of the steering wheel but it did not fix it.
Any ideas would help

What you are describing is one of the typical ways the flasher can fail. These are no longer the extremely cheap and reliable thermal flashers that worked fine since the 1930's. They are now expensive electronic modules that are prone to failure. Start by replacing that.
