The sevice light stays on as it warms up goes away then comes back on again and does the same thing over again.

Hi,

What I need you to do is check for diagnostic trouble codes. The code or codes will point us in the right direction of the problem.

Now, this is an OBD1 system. You don't need a scanner to get codes. All you will need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip. Here is a link that explains how it is done. Take a look through it and follow the directions to get the codes. Once you get them, let me know what they are and I'll help direct you.
