Other accessories do work such as radio, overhead lights, headlights, air conditioner, heater. Well, it comes on but no heat because vehicle won't start. I checked the crankshaft sensor it's okay. Does the vehicle key need to have a chip? Does the security reset work for valet keys also or only keys with chip or shall I say transponder key? When open door security light flashes when I put key and door close I get nothing except a battery light when door is open the security light flashes and then I put the valet key in Ignition then turn it to on position, I've waited 30 minutes and nothing different; light still flashes that's why I wondered if the key needs a chip. When I bought the vehicle, it only came with, the valet key but it had no problems cranking and starting. I had to change starter because the appendix was bad. After I changed the starter, it cranked right up. I even cranked and started it several times that day it was the eighth time trying to crank it, it started doing the no crank no start no noise thing. The only light that comes on is the security and battery light. Nothing else. I went ahead and took the dash and the ignition cover off in case I need to get new ignition. Oh, and I can't jump the starter using the one to relay but I can jump off solenoid to crank but not start because fuel pump is not coming on either. That's why I said it has to be a security feature and need to know if a valet key is all I need to reset the security program.
