What cables do I need for my Genisys EVO 4, 0 scan tool in order to scan this vehicle? The scan tool tells me that I need the proper Nissan cables.

Welcome to 2CarPros. You need the OBD II cable with the correct key or the smart cable. You can also use the OTC 3305-141 cable if you have the correct connector. That cable is used with the adapter. However it should have the common connector. This guide can help as well

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

A few months back I ran up onto a 4-6" curb, ever since the yellow service engine light has been on. About a week ago, I was on a road trip and the light, all of a sudden, turned off. A couple days ago, it came back on and has been on since. I unhooked the battery and turned over the ignition for about 15seconds, rehooked the battery, and the light was still on. I am curious as to whether or not the curb I hit had anything to do with the light coming on or if it is something I should be more worried about.

Hello,

Well the easiest thing to do is go by your local parts store and have them pull codes, most will do it free.

Post codes here for additional help

When I turn the key all my lights come on except for my check engine light. Where is the fuse so I can change it?

Hmm I would scan it and see if a code comes up stating something about the service engine light not operating. I cannot remember what the code is off hand, but I know there is one.

As far as what to change, you would need to pull the instrument cluster and check and change the bulb, as it is likely the problem. I will double check to see if there is a fuse for it somewhere, but I doubt it.

I double checked and do not see any special fuse for it. So it is likely just the bulb is blown or a wire is loose.
