I just bought a used vehicle listed above and was putting it through the paces. When I switch from 2WD to 4WD (High mode), the 4WD indicator light flashes briefly and then stops indicating it is in 4WD. But, when I switched back to 2WD, the indicator light flashed for 6 minutes before it registered a static display indicating it is back in 2WD. Is this normal? Or do I have an issue that needs to be resolved?

We need to start with finding out if it is ever actually going into 4WD and then back out. If the indicator is truly flashing for 6 minutes before it shows 2WD then that is not normal.

It sounds like we have a possible actuator issue, but we need to check the voltage going to it and make sure we have proper voltage.

If we do, then I would replace the actuator.

I attached the wiring diagram below which will help with this so let me know what questions you have, and we can go from there.

Thanks
