Engine Cooling problem
1995 Saturn SL2 4 cyl Automatic 160000 miles
my question is that my car overheats and idles to high just wondering what the price range to get this problem fixed could run me.

Its hard to say how much it would cost they could be related or not related. The overheating could be caused by a bad fan motor does ur fan come on when u turn on the a/c that would elminate that cause. Also it could be overheating and have a high idle from a bad coolant temp sensor that would be cheaper then the fan the sensor is under 20 the fan motor is about 60-80 plus labor. Labor on a fan motor is like an 1hr so that could be up 100 plus 50 for diagnoses the sensor might be a half hr to an hr to replace it. Plus diagnoses and if the idle isnt related then u would pay another 50 for diagnoses plus the repair. The high idle could be a vaccuum leak or possible a idle air control valve sticking. Its hard to say let me know how it goes.
