This is all you will need to know.

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.

2. If equipped with an Antilock Braking System (ABS), disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Loosen the front halfshaft nut, while an assistant depresses the brake pedal, then raise and support the vehicle safely.

4. Remove or disconnect the following:

Wheel

Axle to hub nut and discard it

Brake caliper mounting bracket bolts and suspend the assembly from the strut spring with wire

Brake rotor

ABS sensor connector, if equipped

ABS sensor jumper connector from the bracket on the strut, if equipped

Bearing mounting bolts from the rear of the knuckle

Bearing assembly and spacer. Make sure to note the positioning of the spacer before removal.

To install:

1. Install or connect the following:

Bearing/hub assembly and spacer to the knuckle making sure to position the spacer as it was before removal. Tighten the bearing assembly-to-knuckle bolts evenly to draw the assembly into the knuckle and final tighten bolts to 85 ft. Lbs. (115 Nm).

ABS sensor jumper connector to the bracket on the strut, if equipped

ABS sensor connector, if equipped

Rotor

Caliper mount bracket onto the knuckle and torque the bolts to 85 ft. Lbs. (115 Nm)

Caliper and tighten the bolts to 25 ft. Lbs. (34 Nm)

Negative battery cable

2. Depress the brake pedal and torque the axle to hub nut to 81 ft. Lbs. (110 Nm)

Wheel

3. Check and adjust the alignment
