My transmission pulls but it does not back up. My key does not want to come out the switch at all anymore.

The best place to get this answer is in an Enthusiast Forum. We don't really have thatt kind of info unless someone just happens to know it.
Enthusiast forums will take a little time as you have to join to search them and then you can post the question and in my experience, someone, or many, will know the answer as they have done more modifications being thta they are a collection of every type of Saturn enthusiast you can imagine.

Just to add to this one so you have no reverse? Also the key only turns to the start run and acc position? If thats the only position the key turns too its most likely a miss adjusted bitsi cable. Thats the cable that will keep you from turning the key off in gear. Its really common for them to be out of adjustment I have adjusted a ton of them over the years.I have also seen some gummed shifter assemblies causing it.I have worked for saturn for over 16yrs iam a factory trained saturn tech Iam this sites saturn expert. So I can help you figure out your issues no reason to look else were like drcranknwrench suggested.

Also if you have no issues in the forward gears but have no reverse its most like a in car repair. Not requiring transmission removal to repair or transmission replacement. Do you have any codes in the computer? The input shaft nuts loose up on the transmission causing delay bang or no reverse.I just had that happen on my 1999 saturn SL2 I have seen a lot of them. If you use a transmission pressure test you can actual see from the pressure readings that the nut is loose. The tip off is you have no issues with second gear. Reverse doesnt have its own clutch pack it shares it with reverse. So if you had a issue with the second gear clutch piston causing no reverse you would have no reverse ethier.
