I was driving down the street everything was fine. I went to shift from 2nd to 3rd, I pushed in the clutch, and my shifter just broke. It feels really loose, it will not go into gear. The motor, clutch and tranmission seem to be fine. What could have happened to my shifter. Is it a problem I can fix myself, or does it have to be done at a shop?

Look under the shifter boot see if one of the shifter cables came unhooked at the base of the shifter u change gears with. Let me know if it did and I'll tell u how to fix it.
