We have a 2005 Saturn Vue, 50,000 miles, V4 engine. Two days ago I noticed it was makinkg a loud creaking sound whenever I turned left, or went over bumps in the road. It also clicks when going over bumps. The sound seemed to come form the right side of the car, near the front tire.
We took it in to a mechanic who said it was a strut and not dangerous. He suggested we take it to the dealer and see if it is under warrenty. It isn't. The dealer is 90 miles away and I am afraid the problem could be something worse like a cv joint or boot. What do you think?
