Check the underhood 30-amp fuse at position 1 and the interior 15-amp fuse at position 17. If the fuses are good, check the 35-amp window relay in the interior box, then the sunroof switch and wiring, and finally the motor. Because the track is bent and the panel is tilted, remove the sunroof and try to straighten the track, or replace it with a used part from a salvage yard if it cannot be straightened.
The owner of a 2001 Saturn SL reported that the sunroof would not fully open or close and first suspected a fuse. An expert recommended checking the underhood 30-amp fuse, the interior 15-amp fuse, the window relay, the switch and wiring, and the motor. The owner later found the track was bent and the panel was tilted. The expert said the part could be removed and straightened, or replaced with a salvage-yard unit if straightening was not possible.
