what does code U1301 mean?? How much to the repairs usually cost.

sounds like you may have some shorted wiring going to the battery, so I would check all cables and wiring to and from the battery for shorts and corrosion, including around the starter, shouldnt cost too much, half the problem is solved ,"secondary short to the battery"
