I have a 1995 Saturn SC1 1.9 SOHC, I recenty had to pull the transmission to replace the torque converter O ring seal, I put the transmission back to the engine all of the sensors and what not are hooked up and I have the propper amount of transmission fluid in as well but when I start the car and I put in reverse or drive I get nothing!! :( could this mean I need a new tranny or replace the torque converter?

I would double check the linkage/cable and be sure it is adjusted properly first.

Do you have any codes? Shift to D2 light lit?

Good luck and let us know. :)

Suggested Repair

Check and properly adjust the shift linkage or cable first. Also check for transmission codes and whether the Shift to D2 light is on.

Conversation Summary

The owner of a 1995 Saturn SC1 1.9 SOHC reinstalled the transmission after replacing the torque converter O-ring seal. Sensors are connected and the fluid level is correct, but the car will not move in drive or reverse. The expert advises checking shift linkage or cable adjustment first and asking whether any codes are present or the Shift to D2 light is lit.
