Hello,
A fuel pump can be inoperative due to a bad relay, faulty wiring harness or a defective pump.
It is always good idea to first check the fuel pump relay.
The relay is located under the hood fuse box (see diagram below for location).
Inspect the relay for any corrosion or burnt pin(s).

If the relay is good then check to see if you are getting power to the fuel pump connector with the key to the on position.

If you do not have power to the harness then it is likely due to a short in the circuit and you will have to trace the wires to find that.
If you do have power to the connector then you probably have a bad pump.
