1986 saab 900s

hi, i own a 86 saab 900s recently my saab began to sputter, stal and blow oil from my exhaust. the car starts and runs fine for about 3 minuits then begings to act up. i was wondering what can cause the oil to be blowing out the tail pipe and why it doesnt happen immeditaly? thanks

Doesn't sound good for the home team. First thing that comes to mind is a head gasket failure. A compression check should tell the tale.

The only easy thing that you could hope for is that the oil is overfilled and is being sucked in thru the PCV valve.
