1990 Ford Bronco 5.0L engine

I have oil smoke blowing out of oil fill breather tube going to air cleaner. #7 spark plug is getting a dark brown in color.all other plugs are coming out clean and white. i suspect #7 cylinder is the problem any sugestions on what could be wrong. am hoping for a simple fix.

Do a cylinder leak down test. That will give you a good indication of whether or not your rings are bad. That's what it sounds like.

You can also stick a borescope in there and see if the cylinder walls are scored badly or if you have a cracked piston.
