Hi,

My car just won't start. It will try to turn over and the indicator lights will go on. And then nothing. I called AAA and was told that it wasn't a battery problem. This happened without any warning. Before this it started up every time.

I had one thought. During an oil change about 9 months ago at an Independent Saab Repair place, the mechanic told me I needed a new battery. A man had a battery concesssion stand within this Saab establishment. He sold me a battery that he said he made himself.

Is it possible that the battery is defective, AND if so, could it be that you can't jump start a defective battery?

I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Hi there, if the engine is cranking over the batter will not be the problem, you may have a defective fuel pump, check spark, fuel pressure and injection pulse, and check for any unresolved fault codes with a ECU scan, start here.
