Took car to shop as car died couple days ago, they gave current codes 1334 combustion detection fault cyld 3+4 out of sum, 1312 combustion detection fault cyld 1=2 out of sum. Shap said need to replace DI cassette, but still ok to dirve, may leave me sit at some time. Ran car for 2 days, after 45miles drive home, oil pressure light came on and car died, checked pressure and was OK, tryed to start and wouldnt start, waited awhile and started but rough, oil light out, ran for about 1-2 miles oil light came on, limped home, if I replace DI, will oil issue go away or is this a seperate issue from DI?

Did your oil light stay on while limping home, if yes you may need to drop oil pan & check for sludge plus clean oil pickup screen, changing DI cassette does not help oli presure light issue, but will cause more serious electrical wiring problems, if u continue to drive with it, when it gets really bad it will start burning the connector & wiring harness, get oil light problem checked ASAP, could cost u a engine if u keep driving while light is on, good luck.

Looks as if the pan was dropped some time before I bought auto, as can see new gasket sealant around pan, but will drop again to make sure, Oil light was out as limped home, but did come on at times, I pulled over, let car sit and light went out, limped a little more light on ans so on until parked

Ok, sound like it for sure u have a oil pickup screen blockage problem, this time try & remove as much debris as u can both from top valve cover area & lower engine block, I have found that a good brand oven cleaner works great, much better than grease remover, good luck.

Should I continue to use synthetic Oil or regular? Would this help or hurt engine, oil has a little gassy smell to it, If I clean out pick up and other related parts will this continue to be a maintance issue?

No u should be good after that because I did that to my engine 3 years ago & I am still running strong with lots of mod's to engine, plus I only use full syn oil ever 3000 miles, it is best to use only full syn oil, trust me I know, don't play cheap with your engine, just saying, good luck.
