When I was driving the other day, my car started to lose power like it wasn’t getting speed, and the RPMs would just rev up and I had a hard time trying to move and then my speedometer went out. I checked my transmission fluid and filled it because I had lost all my transmission fluid like two weeks ago and it did the same thing except the speedometer didn’t go out but when I put transmission fluid in it was fine, but now transmission fluid isn’t helping. I need help, it’s my only way around, all my stuff is in there.

Hi,

When you check the fluid, is it clean or does it have a burnt smell? Does the vehicle respond at all when placing it in gear? How much fluid did you need to add for it to be full again?

Let me know. If the fluid was very low and the clutches started to slip while driving, the clutches may have failed.

Also, if you can get your hands on a scan tool, see if there are codes stored that may be helpful.

Here is a quick video showing how it's done:

Take care,
