Rough idle and in gear car stopped. Last year replaced timing belt water pump plugs and wires and a bad 02 sensor. And once in a blue moon it will like miss fire going down the road a few time an go away. Advance auto said it was a bad cat I know different things can send same code what could this problem be. About to go crazy here

Ok, you didn't say you had a code. You just stated what the store told you. You could have just asked for advice there such as you are here, and you didn't supply this site with a code. My guess is that you have a P0420 code?

Ok, if you can I would go and have then check the code and tell you what the code is. If it is a P0420 then it wold tell me that your converter is not efficient.

Could be a dirty mass air flow sensor, failing coil pack, or converter.
