My car is running rough and three service engine light is off and on. They connected the code reader, but my car was not putting out power to the reader. When I put the car in park, it revs then almost shuts off, revs, almost shuts off. Sometimes it just quits running. Any help is appreciated.

In 1991 the car is OBD1 so you will need to follow this guide to get the codes.

This guide can help as well.

Please run down these guides and report back.

Thanks Ken. One code was the lean exhaust. The second link you sent has a ton of useful information! I will let you know what we figure out. Thanks again!

It was the air control valve. It took the mechanic a few days to figure it out though. Thanks Ken!
