My son bought this car and is trying to get it in good shape so he doesn't have to fix much while he is away at college. The timing belt was looking rough so he replaced it. The car started fine right after. The next day it wouldn't start. Removed starter and had it checked. Starter is dead. Got a new starter and installed it. Car will sound like it wants to start but wont start. Son doesn't have much time or money to put in to figuring this out. Help! I am out of work and can't afford to help him.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Is it trying to start? Is it possible that the timing belt jumped a tooth? Is it possible for you to record the engine so I can hear what is happening.

Let me know.

Joe
