Hi Tom5312, Start by making sure your battery is good and fully charged with 12.7 volts engine off. If it is then most likely it is the starter solenoid that is going bad. They are usually built in or attached to the starter and replacement requires replacing the starter as well. Try taping the starter with a hammer when it starts acting up. Also turning the key on and off quickly can also work sometimes but you will have to replace the solenoid/starter to fix permanetly. Good luck and let me know if you need any thing else.
