My dad replaced the motor in his 2001 Toyota Corolla with a 1999 Toyota Corolla motor. The motor in the 1999 Corolla started and ran when he bought it he pulled it out and put it in his 2001 Toyota Corolla and can't get it to run. It will crank and crank and try to start but won't start. Any ideas on what it could be as to why it won't start?

This sounds like the crankshaft angle sensor or the fuel pump has gone out, when you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds? These guides should help us fix it.

Also, lets run the codes to see what come up.
