I recently replaced the intake manifold on my vehicle listed above because it was throwing a code; now that it's all put back together, the car cranks but won't start.

Over the course of assembling it, I ran into a couple of issues. Firstly, I followed bad advice relating to torque specs and stripped one of the bolt threads that attach the intake manifold. It still tightens to a point, but could this be causing too much of an air leak?

Also, I know I must've installed the high-pressure fuel pump slightly incorrectly because there is a dribble of a leak coming from the bottom where the line connects.

These are all issues that I intend to address going forward, I just don't feel like they would cause the car to not start.

I'm not sure if maybe I missed a plug somewhere or what...

Additionally, I went back and tried to read some codes using my basic AutoLink scanner. The list came back pretty long.

P2015 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range (Original code for which I wanted to replace the intake.)

P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 High Circuit
P2294 Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 Control Circuit
P0444 Evaporative System Purce Control Valve Circuit Open
P0238 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A High
P2014 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Bank 1a
P0222 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch B Circuit Low
P0122 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Low

I rechecked every sensor to ensure they were plugged in, cleared the codes, and now only P2015 remains. Any ideas as to what might be going on?

I just read this on another forum post:

“If you are replacing the manifold, you will need to program the runner sensor using a scanner that is designed for VAG.”

Could this be the issue? The post is regarding a 2010 model, I have a 2015.

Yes, this could be the problem, but it seems like one of the main grounds was left off which can cause these codes and for the engine not to start, can you go over the job again while looking for any lose wiring grounds? Here is what is said about the runner controls installation. I would clear the codes and then without cranking the engine over turn the system on to see which codes come back as hard codes. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Thanks for your help. It turned out to be a connector that wasn't plugged in all the way. After that, the car started right up and runs with zero issues.
