2000 Renault Megane Automatic 80,000 miles

Hi there,
i drive an automatic usually just in D(drive) however when I go up a hill of any size the engine makes a noise that I can only describe as being in the wrong gear. I know I should not need to change gear but was wondering what could be wrong. Also I need to replace the wing mirroe electric motor as it only rotates up and down, noy left and right. Is this straight forwards to do. Any help appreciated

Hello .. thanks for the donation .. much appreciated

remove the inner door panel .. remove rear plastic cover on inside of door behind mirror (it just clips into place) .. unbolt and replace mirror ..

Have the car plugged into a diagnostic computer to check for transmission or engine fault codes .. repost with the codes for more repair information !
