Engine start up noise?

I recently bought a renault megane and I makes click noises when started and sometime during the drive as well

This sounds more like the valve train is having an issue, does the noise seem to be coming from the top of the engine, if so then this can be the problem, I would remove the valve cover and use a flashlight to inspect the valve train for wear or broken parts. Here are two guides that can help you.
