Transmission problem
2000 Renault Clio 73,000 miles

I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC CAR AND WHEN I TRY TO START THE CAR THE RED IMMOBILISER LIGHT IS EITHER FLASHING OR CONSTANT. I LOCK AND UNLOCK THE CAR SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT ANY SUCESS AND THEREFORE I CAN'T START THE CAR I HAVE TROBLE GETTING IT TO GO OFF TO START THE CAR.
WHAT CAN I DO TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM

Contact a renault dealer with your vin number and ask for the 4 digit immoboliser bypass code ... or take it to the dealer (tow) the vehicle will need to be plugged into renault's diagnostic computer for the immoboliser to be reset !
