Hello BHAMDOC1973,

Absolutely. Let me see what I can find for you. You might need to call the dealer with your VIN for this particular part.

Thank you,
Brendon

Hello BHAMDOC1973,

I have looked everywhere, and I can't find a part number for it either. I can find the bracket but no snap ring. Sometimes they group parts together so the snap ring might only be available with the bracket.

I don't see why they would do that, but a lot of manufacturers do it.

A lot of times the bearing won't come out bracket and you need to replace it anyway in order to do the axle.

Your best option in my opinion is grab your VIN and call a local Land Rover dealer parts department. A Jaguar dealer might have access to Land Rover parts as well if you can't find a Land Rover dealer. They more than likely have it in stock.

Thank you,
Brendon

I tried and tried it's not coming out. The boot separated in middle so am stuck with half shaft and bearing in there. Hammered the bearing and where the old boot attaches no success. Used forks, pry bars nothing is moving. I wanted to do like I did with a Mazda I have and remove it with the bracket but the idiots who designed it designed it with 4 bolts one of them tucked under the part where the boot attaches.

After banging on the bearing for hours between breaks, I was like there was no way this thing is not budging a milli, so I found out there were 2 hidden bolts that create a half circle around the bearing, the bracket is so rusty it is so hard to make it out, 2 10 millimeter bolts, removed Nd the whole thing popped out in 2 seconds. I need to pay more attention to the design next time I do something like this.

It was a little painful putting the half-circled mount back on, so if anyone is doing this, remove the small transfer case mount and the its a piece of cake. I am surprised it fixed the issue. I don't understand how an axle can cause such binding, also at 85,000.

Good morning, BHAMDOC1973,

I hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend. Glad to hear you got it all fixed up! Also thank you for sharing the information on how to get it out. That will definitely help someone in the future. It is strange considering the mileage of your vehicle that it was so bad. Especially since there was no damage to the axle. Usually, the boot tears and water is able to get inside of it then causes issues like this. However, it is 11 years old, so I am sure that played a part in it. At least it was just the axle causing the issue and not the transfer case.

I hope you have a great week!

Thank you,
Brendon
